Description

This kidney bean dip is a real all-rounder! I love making it when friends come to visit or when I just feel like a hearty snack. The kidney beans provide a creamy consistency, while capers, onion and garlic give the dip a spicy note. The fresh herbs round it off perfectly. It is super quick to prepare and tastes delicious on bread as well as with vegetable sticks. And the best thing: it's also vegan! Ideal for dipping or as a spread - a real treat!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 1 can Kidney beans
  • 60 g Capers
  • Herb salt
  • Herb freshness (e.g. parsley, chives, marjoram)
  • 1 piece small Onion(s)
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • Olive oil

Preparation (4 steps)

Chop onion and garlic

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 5

Add 1 small onion and 1 clove of garlic to the mixing bowl and chop for 3 seconds/speed 5. If necessary, push down with the spatula.

Add kidney beans and capers

Add 1 can of kidney beans (washed and drained) and 60 g of drained capers to the mixing bowl.

Puree

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 8

Puree everything for 20 seconds/speed 8. If necessary, push down with the spatula and repeat the process until the desired consistency is achieved.

Season and refine

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3 Linkslauf Reverse

Add some olive oil, herb salt and fresh herbs (e.g. parsley, chives, marjoram) to the mixing bowl as needed and stir in for 10 seconds/speed 3 in reverse.
