  • 4 Stück Salmon fillets
  • 50 ml Soy sauce, light or reduced salt
  • 60 ml Water
  • 4 EL Brown sugar
  • 1.5 EL Honey
  • 1 TL Sesame oil
  • 2 Stück Garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 TL Fresh ginger, grated
  • 0.75 EL Rice vinegar
  • 2.5 TL Cornstarch
  • 1 EL Cold water
  • nach Geschmack Pepper

Prepare the teriyaki sauce

Place soy sauce, water, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, garlic cloves, ginger, pepper, and sesame oil in the mixing bowl and stir for 20 sec/speed 3 until the sugar has dissolved. Remove 8 tablespoons of sauce and set aside for the glaze.

Marinate the salmon

Marinate the salmon fillets in the remaining sauce for a maximum of 15 minutes. Then pat dry lightly.

Prepare the glaze

Bring the reserved sauce to a boil in a small saucepan. Stir cornstarch with cold water until smooth, slowly stir in and simmer for 1 minute until the sauce is glossy and slightly thickened.

Bake the salmon

Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C. It is best to line the basket with baking paper. Place salmon fillets side by side inside. Bake for 8-10 minutes (depending on thickness).

Glaze the salmon

After about 6-8 minutes, when the salmon is almost done, brush with the thickened sauce. Turn up to 200 °C for the last 2 minutes so that the glaze caramelizes. Garnish with sesame seeds, spring onions and a lime wedge as desired. Serve with basmati rice.
