Description

These savory pinwheels with smoked salmon and pistachios are a delicious and quick idea for an aperitif or brunch. The crispy puff pastry blends perfectly with the creaminess of the cheese and the intense flavor of the salmon, all enriched by the crunchiness of the pistachios. I often prepare them when I have unexpected guests because they are ready in less than half an hour and always make a great impression. They can be enjoyed warm or cold, according to taste. A tasty and original alternative to the usual snacks!

Ingredients (4 ingredients)

  • 1 rotolo rectangular puff pastry
  • 200 g smoked salmon
  • 100 g spreadable cheese
  • chopped pistachio

Preparation (5 steps)

Preparation of the puff pastry

Roll out the rectangular puff pastry roll on the work surface, keeping it on the supplied parchment paper. Spread 100 g of spreadable cheese over the entire surface of the pastry, being careful not to pierce it.

Adding the salmon

Distribute 200 g of chopped smoked salmon over the layer of spreadable cheese.

Rolling up the pastry

Roll up the pastry starting from one of the long sides, using the parchment paper.

Cutting the pinwheels

Obtain the pinwheels by cutting the roll with a sharp knife. Cut the pinwheels about 2 centimeters wide.

Baking in the oven

Transfer the pinwheels to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Decorate the surface with _q.b._ chopped pistachio and bake in a preheated ventilated oven at 180°C for 15 minutes.
