Description

This savory rice pan with bell pepper and ground meat is an absolute favorite dish for the whole family! I have been making it for years and it is always well received. The combination of crunchy bell pepper, spicy ground meat and fluffy rice is simply unbeatable. Especially practical: the dish is quick to prepare and is perfect for a stressful everyday life. You can add some ginger powder as you like, which gives the whole thing a special touch. Ideal as a filling main course or for pre-cooking for lunch break.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 1 piece red bell pepper
  • 1 piece yellow bell pepper
  • 1 piece green bell pepper
  • 2 piece Onions
  • 1 clove Garlic clove
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 600 g mixed Ground meat
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 125 ml Vegetable broth
  • 250 g Express rice
  • 400 g Tomato sauce
  • to taste Ginger powder

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare bell pepper, onions and garlic

3 sec/Speed 5, 3 sec/Speed 7

Clean, wash, core and coarsely dice bell pepper. Peel and quarter onions. Peel garlic. Put onions in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./level 5. Add garlic and chop for another 3 sec./level 7. Use the spatula to push everything down from the edge.

Sauté vegetables

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Add olive oil to the onions and garlic in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Fry ground meat (NOT in the Thermomix!)

Heat oil in a large pan. Fry ground meat in it for about 6 minutes, turning until crumbly, roughly dividing with a spatula. Season with salt and pepper. Remove ground meat from the pan and set aside.

Add and sauté bell pepper

5 sec/Speed 4, 5 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Put the diced bell pepper in the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./level 4. Use the spatula to push everything down from the edge. Then sauté for 5 min./120°C/level 1.

Deglaze with broth and add rice

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Pour vegetable broth into the mixing bowl and bring to a boil for 1 min./100°C/level 1. Add express rice, tomato sauce and the fried ground meat. Add ginger powder, salt and pepper to taste.

Let rice pan simmer

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 100 Reverse

Let everything simmer for 5 min./100°C/reverse rotation level 1. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
