Description

This layered salad is a real classic and perfect for parties or a relaxed lunch! I have been making it for years and it is always well received. The combination of celery, corn, eggs, apples, ham, mandarins, leeks, cheese and tomatoes is simply unbeatable. The secret lies in the long cooling time, which allows the flavors to blend wonderfully. It is best to prepare the salad the day before, then it tastes even better. Mix with cheese just before serving - simply delicious!

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 1 Glas Grated celery
  • 1 can Corn
  • 5 piece Hard-boiled eggs
  • 2 piece Grated apples
  • 300 g Cooked ham
  • 1 can Mandarin or pineapple
  • 3 Stange Leek
  • 300 g Emmentaler cheese
  • 6 piece Tomatoes
  • 1 Glas Salad cream
  • 200 ml Cream

Preparation (9 steps)

Prepare leeks

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 4

Clean 3 leeks and place in the mixing bowl. Chop 5 sec./speed 4. Then transfer to a separate bowl.

Prepare tomatoes

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 4

Wash, quarter and place 6 tomatoes in the mixing bowl. Chop 3 sec./speed 4. Then transfer to a separate bowl.

Prepare apples

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 4

Peel, quarter and place 2 apples in the mixing bowl. Chop 3 sec./speed 4. Then transfer to a separate bowl.

Prepare cheese

Thermomix® Setting

Cut 300 g Emmentaler into pieces and place in the mixing bowl. Chop 5 sec./speed 5. Then transfer to a separate bowl.

Prepare ham

Cut 300 g of cooked ham into cubes and place in a separate bowl.

Prepare eggs

Peel 5 hard-boiled eggs, cut into cubes and place in a separate bowl.

Layer salad

First put 1 jar of grated celery in a large bowl. Distribute 1 can of corn and the prepared ham on top. Add the remaining ingredients (eggs, apples, mandarins/pineapple, tomatoes and cheese) in layers. The last layer is the chopped leek.

Refine salad

Spread 1 jar of salad cream on the salad, and finally add 200 ml of cream on top. Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 24 hours (1440 minutes).

Mix salad

Mix the salad carefully just before serving.
