Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 350 g Flour
  • 250 g Butter, soft
  • 200 g Hazelnuts, ground
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 25 g Cocoa
  • 1 Päckchen Vanilla sugar
  • 1 Prise Salt
  • 2 Stück Eggs
  • 100 g Dark chocolate

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare ingredients

Preheat the oven to 175°C (347°F) top/bottom heat. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Grind the hazelnuts

Put 200 g hazelnuts into the mixing bowl and grind for 10 sec/speed 10. Transfer and set aside.

Mix sugar and butter

30 sec/Speed 4

Put 250 g soft butter in pieces, 100 g sugar, 1 packet of vanilla sugar and 1 pinch of salt into the mixing bowl and mix for 30 sec/speed 4.

Add eggs

Add 2 eggs and mix for another 20 sec/speed 4.

Add flour, cocoa and nuts

Thermomix® Setting

Add 350 g flour, 25 g cocoa and the ground hazelnuts and knead for 2 min/kneading setting to form a dough.

Process the dough

Shape the dough into a roll and wrap in cling film. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.

Shape and bake crescents

Remove the dough in portions and form into rolls about 1 cm thick. Cut off slices about 1 cm thick and shape into crescents. Place on the prepared baking sheets and bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes.

Decorate crescents

After baking, let the crescents cool slightly. Melt 100 g of dark chocolate in a water bath or in the microwave. Dip the ends of the crescents in the chocolate and let them dry on a wire rack.
