Ingredients (18 ingredients)

  • 600 g firm potatoes
  • 1 Stück onion
  • 1 Zehe garlic
  • 1 Stück bell pepper
  • 250 g kidney beans (drained weight)
  • 140 g corn (drained weight)
  • 1 EL rapeseed oil
  • 400 g ground beef
  • 2 EL tomato paste
  • 500 g pureed tomatoes
  • 0.5 TL cumin
  • 1 EL sweet paprika powder
  • 0.5 TL chili
  • 0.5 TL cinnamon
  • nach Geschmack salt
  • nach Geschmack pepper
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 150 g grated cheese (e.g. Cheddar)

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare the potatoes

Peel 600 g of firm potatoes and cut into small pieces. Place the potato pieces in a pot, cover with water and bring to a boil with salt. Cook the potatoes for about 15 minutes until they are cooked through. Then drain and set aside.

Chop the onion and garlic

Place 1 peeled onion in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Add 1 clove of garlic and chop for 3 sec./speed 7. Use the spatula to scrape everything down from the side.

Sauté the onion and garlic

Add 1 tbsp rapeseed oil to the onions and garlic in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Brown the ground beef

Heat 1 tbsp rapeseed oil in a pan and brown 400 g ground beef in it, seasoning with salt and pepper. Add the sautéed onions and garlic from the mixing bowl to the ground beef in the pan and sauté briefly. Stir in 2 tbsp tomato paste and roast briefly.

Prepare the chili

Place the browned ground beef with onions, garlic and tomato paste in the mixing bowl. Add 500 g pureed tomatoes, 1 diced bell pepper, 1 can of kidney beans (drained weight 250 g), 1 can of corn (drained weight 140 g), 1/2 tsp cumin, 1 tbsp sweet paprika powder, 1/2 tsp chili, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, salt and pepper. Simmer everything for 10 min./100°C/speed 1.

Layer the casserole

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees top and bottom heat. Place the cooked potatoes in a casserole dish and mix with the chili.

Bake the casserole

Spread 200 g of sour cream over the casserole and sprinkle with 150 g of grated cheese (e.g. Cheddar). Bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
