Description

These shortcrust pastry biscuits with colored candies are a delicious and fun idea for parties! The shortcrust pastry, prepared with flour, butter, sugar and egg yolks, is crumbly and tasty. The addition of the melted candies in the center creates a colored "glass" effect that makes them perfect for Christmas or a birthday. The preparation is simple and quick, also ideal for those who do not have much experience in the kitchen. A tip? Put the flour and cold butter into pieces in the bowl. Knead for 20 Sec./Stufe 4 until a sandy mixture is obtained. Add a pinch of salt.

Adding the liquid ingredients

Add the sugar and egg yolks to the bowl. Knead for 20 Sec./Stufe 4. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface and quickly compact with your hands.

Rest in the refrigerator

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Rolling out and cutting the biscuits

Roll out the dough with a rolling pin on a floured work surface to a thickness of 2-3 mm. Cut out the biscuits with the molds, creating a central hole with a smaller mold.

Preparation of the baking sheet

Arrange the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Crushing the candies

Divide the candies by color and put them in separate bags. Insert one bag at a time into the bowl and crush for 5 Sec./Stufe 8. Repeat the operation for each color.

First cooking of the biscuits

Bake the biscuits in a preheated ventilated oven at 180°C for 5 minutes.

Adding the candies and second cooking

Remove the biscuits from the oven and fill the central hole with the crushed candies. Bake again for another 5-6 minutes at 180°C, checking the cooking frequently. If necessary, add more pieces of candy to fill any empty spaces.

Cooling

Let the biscuits cool completely on the baking sheet before moving them.
