Description

This simple spelt bread from the Thermomix® is prepared with water, honey, yeast, spelt flour type 630 and salt. It is a hearty and vegetarian bread, ideal for breakfast or as a side dish to the main course. The preparation takes a total of 150 minutes, with the active working time being only about 20 minutes. The recipe is perfect for anyone who wants to bake a healthy and uncomplicated bread. It is particularly suitable for spelt lovers.

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 300 g Water
  • 1 EL Honey
  • 0.5 Stück Yeast
  • 500 g Spelt flour type 630
  • 10 g Salt

Activate yeast

Put 300 g water, 1 tablespoon honey and 1/2 cube yeast in the mixing bowl and heat the mixture.

Prepare dough

Add 500 g spelt flour 630 and 10 g salt and process everything into a dough.

Let dough rise

Put the dough in a bowl, dust it with flour and let it rise covered in a warm place for 1 hour.

Prepare baking pan with lid

During this time you can flour a baking pan with lid.

Shape and bake bread

Place the dough on a floured work surface, fold it together several times and form it into a loaf of bread. Place the loaf of bread in the prepared baking pan with lid (Romertopf), dust it with flour and cut it. Put the lid on the baking pan with lid and slide it into the cold oven on the lowest rack. Bake the bread for 50-60 minutes at 240° top/bottom heat.

Brown bread

Carefully remove the baking pan with lid lid and let the bread brown for 5 minutes without the lid at 240°C.
