Description

This Thermomix® recipe for turkey strips with carrots and mushrooms is a hearty main course served with long-grain rice. Preparation with the Thermomix® takes about 45 minutes and yields 4 servings.   • 200 g Long-grain rice
  • nach Geschmack Salt
  • 1 Stück Onion
  • 300 g Carrots
  • 400 g Mushrooms
  • 400 g Turkey cutlet
  • 1 EL Oil
  • nach Geschmack Pepper
  • 150 ml Vegetable stock
  • 125 g Whipping cream
  • 1 EL light gravy thickener
  • 0.5 Stück Lemon (juice of)
  • nach Geschmack coarse pepper
  • Chervil

Cook rice

Add 200 g long-grain rice and a pinch of salt to the simmering basket. Fill 1 liter of water into the mixing bowl. Insert the simmering basket and cook for 25 min./Varoma/speed 1. After the cooking time has elapsed, transfer the rice and keep warm.

Chop onion

Peel, quarter and place 1 onion in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Use the spatula to push down.

Sauté onion

Add 1 tbsp oil to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Chop carrots

Thermomix® Setting

Peel 300 g carrots, cut into slices and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 4 sec./speed 4. Use the spatula to push down.

Prepare mushrooms

Clean and halve 400 g mushrooms. Set aside.

Fry meat

Pat 400 g turkey cutlets dry and cut into strips. Heat oil in a pan. Fry the sliced cutlets in it, turning, for approx. 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Add onion, carrots and mushrooms, sauté.

Prepare sauce

Add the fried ingredients to the mixing bowl. Add 150 ml vegetable stock and 125 g whipping cream. Cook for 5 min./100°C/speed 1.

Thicken sauce

Stir in 1 tbsp light gravy thickener and cook for a further 2 min./100°C/speed 1.

Season sauce

Add juice of ½ lemon, salt and pepper and stir for 10 sec./speed 2.

Arrange

Drain the rice. Arrange on plates with the turkey strips. Sprinkle with coarse pepper and garnish with chervil.
