Description

This spiced mulberry tart is a delightful summer treat! I've been making this recipe for years, and it's always a hit. The juicy mulberries, combined with a hint of nutmeg and allspice, create a warm and comforting flavor. The tart is perfect for a summer dessert or a special occasion. It takes about an hour to make, including baking time, but it's well worth the effort. Feel free to use fresh or frozen mulberries, depending on what's available. Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 14.1 ounce package pastry for a 9-inch double crust pie
  • 6 cups mulberries
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.66666666666667 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare the oven

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C). This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Prepare the pie crust

Lay bottom pie crust in pie plate. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Combine dry ingredients

Add 1 cup white sugar, ⅔ cup all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg, 1 teaspoon ground allspice, and ½ teaspoon salt to the mixing bowl. Mix for 10 Sec./Stufe 3 to combine.

Mix filling

Add 6 cups mulberries to the mixing bowl with the dry ingredients. Gently fold mixture with a wooden spoon until blended, 3 to 5 minutes. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Assemble the pie

Pour mixture into bottom pie crust and cover with top crust. Seal the edges; make slits in the top with a sharp knife. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Chill the pie

Refrigerate pie until sealed edges appear firm, 10 to 20 minutes. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Bake the pie

Bake pie in the preheated oven for 15 minutes at 400 degrees F (205 degrees C). Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and continue baking until crust is golden brown, about 30 minutes. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.
