Description

These wild boar skewers are a real taste experience! The tender meat, combined with the spicy sumac onion mixture and the fruity pomegranate syrup, makes this dish something special. I like to make it when friends are visiting because it's easy to prepare and simply tastes delicious. The preparation is super fast thanks to the Thermomix®. Perfect for a cozy evening or as a highlight on the grill. A touch of the Orient in your own kitchen!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 1 Esslöffel Sumac
  • Parsley
  • 2 Stück Onions
  • 8 Stück Flatbread
  • Thyme and Rosemary
  • 400 Gramm Wild boar neck
  • 2 Esslöffel Olive oil
  • 1 Esslöffel Pomegranate syrup

Preparation (7 steps)

Chop onions

Thermomix® Setting

Peel and quarter 2 onions and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Use the spatula to scrape down the sides.

Prepare sumac onion mixture

Remove the chopped onions from the mixing bowl and place in a bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of sumac and salt. Roughly chop 0 parsley and add to the bowl as well. Mix everything well and set aside.

Prepare herb oil

Tie 0 thyme and rosemary sprigs together to form a bouquet garni. Put 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a small bowl.

Prepare meat

Cut 400 grams of wild boar neck into cubes, thread onto skewers and salt.

Sear meat

Sear the skewers in a hot pan, dabbing them with the bouquet garni. Cover the meat with 8 flatbreads so that the meat juice transfers to the bread.

Fill flatbread

Fill the flatbread with the sumac-parsley mix. Place the meat skewers on the flatbread and carefully pull the meat off the skewers.

Serve

For a fruity aroma, add 1 tablespoon of pomegranate syrup over the filling and serve.
