  • 250 gr Lentils
  • 1 piece Chicken breast
  • 4 piece Carrots
  • 2 piece Choricero peppers
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • to taste Cumin
  • to taste Paprika
  • to taste Pepper
  • to taste Oil
  • to taste Salt

Preparation (7 steps)

Rehydrate and prepare the choricero peppers

Rehydrate the choricero peppers for a few hours in water. Once rehydrated, open the peppers and remove the seeds. Scrape the flesh of the pepper with a spoon and reserve. Discard the skin.

Chop onion and garlic

Introduce 1 onion in quarters and 2 cloves of garlic in the Thermomix bowl. Chop for 3 seconds at speed 5.

Sauté onion and garlic

Add a little olive oil and salt to the bowl. Sauté the onion and garlic for 5 minutes at 120°C in speed 1.

Add carrots and chicken

Add 4 carrots in slices and 1 chicken breast cut into small pieces to the bowl. Cook for 5 minutes at 120°C in speed 1.

Incorporate the pepper flesh and spices

Add the flesh of the choricero peppers, cumin, paprika, pepper and salt to taste to the bowl. Cook for 2 minutes at 120°C in speed 1. Watch that it does not burn.

Add 250 grams of clean lentils and 1 liter of cold water to the bowl. Program 60 minutes at 100°C in speed 1. If necessary, add more water during cooking.

Once the lentils are soft and the broth has reduced, turn off the Thermomix and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
