Description

This strawberry-mascarpone-dessert with cantuccini is a real treat and super easy to prepare! The combination of creamy mascarpone, fresh strawberries and crunchy cantuccini is simply unbeatable. I especially like to make it in spring and summer, when the strawberries are in season and develop their full flavor. A dash of lime provides a pleasant freshness. The dessert is perfect for a brunch with friends or as a sweet ending to a delicious meal. If you like, you can sprinkle a few chocolate sprinkles over it - simply delicious!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 500 g Strawberries
  • 1 piece Lime
  • 5 tbsp Sugar
  • 150 g Cantuccini (Italian almond biscuits)
  • 250 g Mascarpone
  • 250 g Low-fat curd cheese
  • 5 tbsp Milk
  • 75 g Chocolate sprinkles or bark chocolate

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare strawberries

Clean, wash and cut the strawberries into bite-sized pieces. Halve the lime and squeeze the juice. Put the cut strawberries in a bowl, mix with 2 tbsp sugar and the lime juice and let it steep briefly.

Chop cantuccini

Roughly chop the cantuccini. This can be done either by hand or in the Thermomix. For the Thermomix version, put the cantuccini in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Then transfer.

Prepare mascarpone cream

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Put mascarpone, low-fat curd cheese, milk and 3 tbsp sugar in the mixing bowl. Stir with the butterfly for 20 sec./speed 3 until a creamy mixture is formed.

Layer dessert

Fill the mascarpone cream, the chopped cantuccini and the marinated strawberries in layers into dessert glasses. Start with a layer of cream, then cantuccini, then strawberries and repeat this until the glasses are filled.

Garnish and serve dessert

Garnish the finished desserts with chocolate sprinkles or grated chocolate and serve immediately. Alternatively, the desserts can also be placed in the refrigerator for approx. 30 minutes to cool them down slightly.
