Description

These sweet little cakes with brown sugar are a classic that evokes childhood memories. The soft and fluffy dough combines perfectly with the crunchy and caramelized touch of brown sugar. Ideal to enjoy at breakfast or snack, these little cakes are perfect to share with family or friends. The recipe is simple, but the result is simply delicious. The preparation with the Thermomix® greatly facilitates the process, guaranteeing a homogeneous dough and an impeccable result.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 500 gramos flour
  • 150 gramos sugar
  • 50 gramos fresh yeast
  • 1 tsp fine salt
  • 150 gramos butter at ointment point
  • 200 centímetros cúbicos milk
  • 2 piece eggs
  • 300 gramos brown sugar

Preparation (9 steps)

Activate yeast

Pour a little warm milk (50 ml) into the Thermomix glass and add the fresh yeast (50 g). Mix 10 sec./Stufe 3 so that it foams.

Mix dry ingredients

In a separate bowl, mix the flour (500 g) and the sugar (150 g). Pour the milk and yeast mixture in the center.

Add remaining ingredients

Add the fine salt (1 tsp) taking care that it does not touch the yeast. Add also the eggs (2 units).

Knead the dough

Knead the preparation in the Thermomix for 3 Min./Knetstufe until you get a tender dough.

Incorporate the butter

Incorporate the butter ointment (150 g) inside the dough. Pass the dough to a work table and knead again, beat the dough against the table again and again until the butter joins the dough. You can add a little flour to make its texture and consistency smoother. Put the dough in a container, cover it with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour.

Stretch and cut the dough

Take out the dough and stretch it until it is 1 centimeter thick. Cut it to the desired size (here we made them about 5 cm).

Arrange the little cakes

Arrange the little cakes on a previously greased and floured baking sheet. The idea is that they are close together, glued together, so that they rise in height and not in width. Fill the edges and gaps between each little cake so that the brown sugar does not stick.

Add brown sugar

Brush the little cakes with a little water so that the brown sugar can adhere well. Then, sprinkle the brown sugar (300 g) on each little cake. Let them rise for half an hour more.

Bake the little cakes

Bake at 180 °C for 20 minutes. Let cool to unmold the black little cakes and enjoy.
