Description

This hearty bread roll meatloaf casserole is an absolute favorite when you need something quick and you have bread rolls left over from the day before. The casserole is super easy to prepare and tastes great to the whole family. The meatloaf provides a hearty note, while the cheese forms a beautiful crust. I like to make it when I don't feel like standing in the kitchen for long. It is perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. You can also prepare it well in advance and then simply put it in the oven. A salad with it and you have a delicious dish!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

4 piece Bread rolls from the day before, diced
400 ml Milk
400 g Coarse meatloaf, diced
5 piece Egg(s)
0.5 bunch Parsley, plucked from the stalk
200 g Emmental, grated
to taste Salt
to taste Pepper
to taste Nutmeg

Preparation (4 steps)

Soak bread rolls

Place the diced bread rolls in a large bowl and pour the milk over them. Mix well and let it soak for a while. Preheat the oven to 180 °C circulating air.

Prepare egg-cheese mixture

Put the eggs, parsley and half of the grated cheese into the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec./level 3. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste.

Mix casserole mixture

Add the egg-cheese mixture and the diced meatloaf to the soaked bread rolls in the bowl and mix well.

Bake casserole

Grease a suitable casserole dish and pour in the mixture. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over it. Bake everything in the preheated oven for 35 minutes and then enjoy with a delicious salad.
