Description

This juicy butter cake is a classic for any occasion. With the Thermomix®, the yeast dough is easy to make. Preparation takes about 75 minutes and yields 12 servings. Ideal for brunch or birthdays.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 50 ml lukewarm milk
  • 1 Würfel yeast
  • 1 TL sugar
  • 450 g flour
  • 75 g sugar
  • 75 g soft butter
  • 1 Stück egg
  • 125 g butter
  • 125 g sugar
  • 1 Päckchen vanilla sugar
  • 100 g almond flakes

Preparation (9 steps)

Prepare the yeast

Put 50 ml lukewarm milk into the mixing bowl. Add 1 cube of yeast and 1 tsp of sugar and mix for 2 min./37°C/speed 2.

Prepare the dough

Put 450 g flour, 75 g sugar, 75 g soft butter and 1 egg in the mixing bowl. Insert the Milkix instead of the knife. Knead for 5 min./kneading setting to form a smooth dough.

Let the dough rise

Place the dough in a bowl and cover in a warm place for about 30 minutes until it has increased significantly in size.

Prepare the topping

Put 125 g butter in pieces into the mixing bowl and melt for 3 min./50°C/speed 2.

Complete the topping

Add 125 g sugar and 1 packet of vanilla sugar to the melted butter in the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec./speed 3.

Prepare the almonds

Place the WunderSlicer V2 on the mixing bowl lid and insert the fine slicing disc. Add 100 g of almond flakes and cut through with slight pressure. Set aside the sliced almonds.

Roll out the dough and top

Roll out the dough on a greased baking sheet. Spread the butter-sugar mixture evenly over the dough. Sprinkle the almond flakes on top.

Bake the butter cake

Bake the butter cake in a preheated oven at 175°C top/bottom heat for about 20 minutes.

Froth milk (optional)

For an extra portion of enjoyment, add 200 ml of milk with the MilkiMizer to the mixing bowl and froth for 3 min./70°C/speed 3.5. Serve with the butter cake.
