Description

This apple cake with vanilla pudding, prepared in the Thermomix®, is a classic cake treat with apples, butter, sugar and flour. Preparation takes about 85 minutes, of which 30 minutes are active working time. The recipe yields 12 servings and is ideal as a dessert or with coffee. A perfect cake for the whole family, especially in autumn and at Christmas time.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 250 g Wheat flour Type 405
  • 125 g soft Butter
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1 Stück Egg (room temperature)
  • 0.5 Pck. Baking powder
  • 1 Pck. Vanilla sugar
  • Fat for the springform pan
  • 7 Stück Apples (Jonagold or Boskop)
  • 1 Pck. Vanilla pudding powder
  • 400 ml Milk
  • 1 Becher Cream
  • 25 g Sugar

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Put 250 g wheat flour type 405, 125 g soft butter, 150 g sugar, 1 egg (room temperature), 0.5 pack baking powder and 1 pack vanilla sugar into the mixing bowl and knead for 2 min./kneading setting to a homogeneous dough.

Prepare springform pan and fill in dough

Grease a springform pan (26 cm diameter) with fat. Put the dough into the springform pan and press up the edge approx. 2 cm.

Prepare apples and place on the dough

Wash 7 apples (Jonagold or Boskop) thoroughly and remove the core with an apple corer. Place the apples on the dough in the springform pan.

Prepare pudding

Mix 1 pack vanilla pudding powder and 25 g sugar with 5 tbsp milk until smooth in a bowl.

Cook pudding

5 min/194°F/Speed 2 90

Put the remaining 400 ml milk and 1 carton cream into the mixing bowl and bring to the boil for 5 min./90°C/speed 2.

Finish pudding

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Add the stirred pudding powder to the mixing bowl and stir in for 20 sec./speed 3. Scrape down from the edge with the spatula.

Pour pudding over the apples

Pour the pudding evenly over the apples in the springform pan.

Bake cake

Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180 °C top/bottom heat for 40-50 minutes on the lowest rack. Cover after 40 minutes to prevent it from browning too much. Let it cool in the oven.
