Description

This Walnut Tart Nut Corners is a delicious pastry that is ideal as a dessert. The shortcrust pastry is topped with a walnut-sugar mixture and decorated with chocolate. Preparation takes about 90 minutes and yields one tart. Perfect for coffee gatherings or as a sweet treat in between.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 150 g Flour
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 1 Prise Salt
  • 100 g Butter/Margarine, cold
  • 1 Stück Egg
  • 75 g Butter
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 150 g Walnuts, chopped
  • 1 EL Water
  • 1 EL Apricot jam
  • 50 g Chocolate, dark

Preparation (11 steps)

Prepare shortcrust pastry

Put 150 g flour, 50 g sugar and 1 pinch of salt into the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec./speed 4.

Add fat and egg

Add 100 g cold butter/margarine in small cubes and 1 egg. Knead to a dough with the Meistermix Patix dough knife instead of the standard knife for 2 min./kneading stage.

Chill dough

Wrap the dough in foil and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Prepare topping

Melt 75 g butter in a saucepan. Add 75 g sugar and stir until dissolved. Remove the saucepan from the heat and mix in 150 g chopped walnuts together with 1 tbsp water.

Prepare dough

After the resting time, divide the dough into four equal pieces. Rinse the silicone mold with cold water, do not dry it and place it in the baking pan.

Roll out and cover dough

Press the dough pieces evenly onto the bottom of the silicone mold. Spread 1 tbsp apricot jam on the dough. More jam can also be used to taste. Now spread the nut mixture on top and smooth it out.

Bake

Bake the tart in a preheated oven at lowest heat for 40 minutes.

Let the tart cool

After baking, let the walnut tart cool in the mold, the topping will become firmer. Then remove the tart from the silicone mold.

Melt chocolate

Chop 50 g chocolate, melt in a small bowl over a water bath.

Spread chocolate

Spread the liquid chocolate on the cooled tart with swivel movements. Place in the refrigerator to harden.

Serve

To serve, remove the tart from the silicone mold by removing the silicone mold from the baking pan, turning the baking pan over and placing the silicone mold on it. Now turn the edge of the silicone mold downwards.
