Description

This creamy corn tart with white sauce is a comforting and delicious dish, perfect for any occasion. The combination of the sweetness of the corn with the smoothness of the white sauce and the caramelized touch of the onion make it irresistible. The recipe is simple and, with the help of the Thermomix®, it is prepared in the blink of an eye. I often make it for a family lunch or an informal dinner with friends, and it is always a success! Also, you can vary the cheeses to give it a different touch each time. Go ahead and try it, you'll love it!

3

Sautéing the onion

Thermomix® Setting
8 min/248°F/Velocidad 1 120

Peel and cut 1 large onion into quarters. Place the onion in the Thermomix bowl and program 3 Seg./Speed 5. Add 1 teaspoon of oil and program 8 Min./120°C/Speed 1 to sauté the onion. If you want to caramelize it more, add 2 tablespoons of water and program 5 Min./100°C/Speed 1. Repeat this process until you reach the desired level of caramelization.

Mixing the filling

In a large bowl, mix the rinsed corn with the white sauce prepared in the Thermomix. Add the sautéed onion from the Thermomix to the bowl. Add 1 dessert spoon of garlic powder, 1 dessert spoon of nutmeg and ½ dessert spoon of smoked paprika. Mix all the ingredients well and taste to adjust the seasoning if necessary.

5

Integration of the egg

Add 1 egg to the filling mixture and mix well with a spatula until completely integrated.

6

Filling the tart

Spread 1 tart dough disc in a tart pan. Pour the filling mixture over the dough, distributing it evenly.

7

Baking the tart

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Bake the tart for 20 minutes. Remove the tart from the oven and spread 30 grams of crumbled fresh cheese and 30 grams of grated cheese on top. Bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is au gratin.
