Description

This recipe for fried Asian noodles with chicken is a quick and satisfying main course, ideal for student cooking or a quick dinner. Tender pieces of chicken, crunchy vegetables and a spicy sauce combine to create a delicious dish. The preparation is done partly in the Thermomix® and is completed in the pan. The dish is rich in protein and can be pre-cooked well.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 250 g Egg noodles - Chinese
  • 400 g Chicken breast fillet - or meat from chicken thigh
  • 1 Stück Onion
  • 2 Zehen Garlic
  • 2 Stück Large carrots
  • 1 Bund Spring onions
  • 2 EL Sesame oil - or rapeseed oil
  • 200 g Mung bean sprouts
  • 2 Stück Eggs
  • 2 EL Soy sauce
  • 2 EL Ketjap Manis
  • 1 EL Oyster sauce - or fish sauce
  • 0.5 TL Sambal Olek - or to taste

Preparation (8 steps)

Chop onion and garlic

Peel the onion, halve it and put it in the mixing bowl with the garlic cloves. Chop 3 sec./level 5. Push down with the spatula.

Sauté onion and garlic

Add 2 tbsp sesame oil (or rapeseed oil) and sauté 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Grate carrots

Thermomix® Setting

Peel the carrots, cut into pieces and put in the mixing bowl. Chop 4 sec./level 5. Transfer and set aside.

Prepare sauce

Mix 2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp Ketjap Manis, 1 tbsp oyster sauce (or fish sauce) and 1/2 tsp Sambal Olek (or to taste) in a small bowl and set aside.

Cook egg noodles

Prepare 250 g egg noodles according to package instructions in a separate pot. Drain and set aside.

Fry chicken and add vegetables

Cut 400 g chicken breast fillet (or meat from chicken thigh) into bite-sized pieces. Heat 2 tbsp sesame oil (or rapeseed oil) in a large pan or wok and fry the chicken until it is almost cooked. Add onions, garlic, carrots, 1 bunch of spring onions (cut into rings) and 200 g mung bean sprouts and fry everything for 4 minutes.

Fry and mix eggs

Push all the ingredients to the edge, crack the 2 eggs in the middle and whisk, then mix with the remaining ingredients.

Add noodles and sauce

Stir in the cooked egg noodles and the prepared sauce and mix well. Serve.
