Description

This butter cake is a classic recipe made with yeast, flour, butter and almonds. The dough is kneaded in the Thermomix® and then topped with a sweet butter topping and almonds. After baking, the cake is a delicious treat for breakfast or as a dessert. Preparation takes about 45 minutes.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 500 g Flour Type 550
  • 80 g Sugar
  • 250 ml Lukewarm Milk
  • 100 g Butter
  • 1 Pr. Salt
  • 250 g Butter
  • 1 Päckchen Vanilla Sugar
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 250 g Flaked Almonds
  • 80 g Yeast

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare Yeast

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/99°F/Speed 2 99°F

Add 500 g Flour Type 550, Yeast and 80 g Sugar to the mixing bowl and stir for 2 min./37°C/speed 2.

Prepare Dough

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Add 114 g lukewarm Milk, 100 g Butter and 1 pinch of Salt and knead for 2 min./kneading level.

Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a bowl and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.

Prepare Topping

Thermomix® Setting

Add 250 g Butter, 1 packet of Vanilla Sugar and 100 g Sugar to the mixing bowl and stir for 30 sec./speed 3.

Prepare Almonds

Thermomix® Setting
4 sec/Speed 5

Add 250 g of flaked Almonds to the mixing bowl and chop for 4 sec./speed 5. Alternatively, place the WunderSlicer V2 on the mixing bowl lid, select the fine slice and cut the almonds directly into the mixing bowl.

Top and Bake Butter Cake

Place the dough on a baking sheet and press small indentations into it with your fingers. Spread the topping on the dough and sprinkle with the almonds. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C top/bottom heat for about 15 minutes.
