Description

This stuffed meatloaf dish is a true classic of Italian cuisine and can be wonderfully prepared in the oven. The meatloaf, filled with ham and cheese, is a hearty and satisfying dish that is perfect for a family meal or a special occasion. I like to make it when I want to cook something savory and simple. The preparation is straightforward and the result is always a delight. It tastes especially good with a fresh salad or a creamy polenta. An absolute favorite recipe that is always well received by my guests!

3

Spread the meat

On a sheet of baking paper, spread the seasoned ground meat, pressing it with your hands to flatten everything.

4

Add the filling

In the center of the spread meat, distribute half of the slices of cooked ham lengthwise, the cheese previously cut into cubes and close with the remaining slices of ham.

5

Shape the meatloaf

Using the baking paper, close the meat on itself, wrapping it first on one side, then on the other. Press well with your hands so that the meat seals and wraps the filling well.

6

Wrap and seal

To ensure that the meatloaf is nice and compact, cook it wrapped in baking paper, closing the two ends like a candy. Place the meatloaf in the center of a baking tray.

7

Preheat the oven

Preheat the oven to 180°C in fan mode.

8

Cook the meatloaf

As soon as the oven is at temperature, cook the meatloaf always wrapped in its paper for 30 minutes.

9

Final browning

After 30 minutes, open the baking paper to allow the steam to evaporate and form a crispy crust. Cook for another 10 minutes without paper.

10

Serve

When the meatloaf is cooked, wait 10 minutes before slicing it and serving it at the table.
