Description

This seasoned chicken breast recipe is a simple and delicious way to prepare a healthy and flavorful main course. I've been making this dish for years, and it's always a hit! The combination of lemon-pepper seasoning and dried oregano creates a wonderful aroma and taste. It's perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or meal prepping for the week. The chicken breasts are seared to golden perfection and then baked until juicy and tender. Serve with your favorite sides for a complete and satisfying meal. It's also a great option for those looking for a high-protein and low-carb meal.

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 2 tsp lemon-pepper seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp dried oregano
  • 0.25 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 4 piece boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Preparation (5 steps)

1

Preheat Oven

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2

Combine Seasonings

In a small bowl, combine 2 teaspoons lemon-pepper seasoning, ½ teaspoon dried oregano, and ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper; pour onto a plate.

3

Heat Oil in Skillet

Pour 2 tablespoons avocado oil into the bottom of a skillet, just enough to cover the bottom, and heat over medium-high heat until it shimmers.

4

Sear Chicken

Dredge both sides of the 4 (7 ounce) boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the seasoning and place into the shimmering oil. Sear until golden, about 3 minutes on each side. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet.

5

Bake Chicken

Bake in the preheated oven until chicken is no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, 12 to 15 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
