Description

This hearty polenta layered dish is a wonderful dish for cozy autumn evenings. The creamy polenta harmonizes perfectly with the spicy mushroom filling and the crispy bacon. I like to make this variation of lasagna when I need to be quick, but still want something special on the table. The preparation is straightforward and the result tastes simply delicious. Ideal for a hearty lunch or a hearty dinner. If you like it vegetarian, you can simply leave out the bacon.

Ingredients (14 ingredients)

  • 250 g Polenta
  • 700 ml Water
  • 1 Prise(n) Salt
  • Butter
  • 500 g Mushrooms
  • 200 g Bacon
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 Zwiebel(n) Onions finely chopped
  • 1 bunch Flat parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Flour
  • 8 tbsp Milk
  • 2 container Sour cream
  • Salt and pepper
  • 60 g Cheese

Preparation (9 steps)

Cook polenta

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Add 700 ml water and 1 pinch of salt to the mixing bowl and bring to a boil for 7 min./100°C/speed 1. Let 250 g of polenta trickle in and cook for 15 min./100°C/speed 2 while stirring. Then transfer and let cool.

Fry bacon

Fry 200 g bacon in a pan without fat until crispy. Set aside.

Chop onions

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 5

Put 2 onions in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Push down with the spatula.

Sauté onions

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Add 2 tbsp oil to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Prepare mushroom mixture

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add 500 g mushroom slices to the onions in the mixing bowl and simmer for 10 min./100°C/speed 1.

Prepare sauce

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/194°F/Speed 1 90

Add 1 tbsp flour and 8 tbsp milk to the mixing bowl and stir for 20 sec./speed 3. Add one container of sour cream, salt and pepper and let it steep for 5 min./90°C/speed 1.

Mix in parsley

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Linkslauf/Speed 2 Reverse

Add 1 bunch of chopped parsley to the mixing bowl and stir in for 5 sec./reverse/speed 2.

Layer casserole

Grease a casserole dish with butter. Place a layer of polenta in it. Add some of the mushroom mixture on top and cover with bacon slices. Continue in this way until all ingredients are used up. Finish with polenta. Sprinkle the cheese on top and pour the remaining sour cream over it.

Bake casserole

Place in the oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
