Description

This hearty onion cake from the baking sheet, prepared in the Thermomix®, is a savory main course or an ideal snack for parties. The main ingredients are flour, curd, onions and sour cream. Preparation in the Thermomix® takes about 60 minutes, of which 40 minutes are active working time. The recipe yields 8 servings and is perfect for a family meal or as a savory side dish.

  • 400 gr Flour
  • 200 gr Curd
  • 3 Stück Egg
  • 0.5 Teel. Salt
  • 80 gr Butter
  • 1 Päckchen Baking powder
  • 4 Stück Thick vegetable onions
  • 400 gr. Sour cream
  • 3 Stück Eggs
  • 60 gr Butter
  • 350 gr Cooked ham
  • 250 gr Diced bacon streaky
  • 2 Prisen Salt +Pepper
  • 300 gr Emmentaler grated

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting

Put flour, curd, eggs, salt, butter and baking powder in the mixing bowl and process into a dough for 2 min./kneading level.

Roll out dough

Roll out the dough on a baking sheet.

Prepare onions

Put onions in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./level 5. Push down with the spatula.

Sauté onions

Add butter to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1. Let cool.

Prepare topping

Put sour cream, soft butter and eggs in the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec./level 3.

Prepare ham

Dice cooked ham.

Mix topping

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 2 Reverse

Add diced ham, diced bacon and Emmentaler to the cream-egg mixture in the mixing bowl and stir in for 10 sec./level 2 reverse.

Fold in onions

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 2 Reverse

Add the cooled onions and fold in for 5 sec./level 2 reverse. Season with salt and pepper.

Spread the topping on the dough and bake in the preheated oven at 180°C for 40 minutes.
