  • 150 g Ground hazelnuts
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 150 g Butter, softened
  • 3 Stück Eggs
  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 TL Baking powder
  • 4 Stück Apples
  • 75 g Butter, cold (for the crumble)
  • 75 g Sugar (for the crumble)
  • 150 g Flour (for the crumble)
  • 50 g Sugar (for the pudding)
  • 40 g Vanilla pudding powder
  • 500 ml Apple juice

Preparation (13 steps)

Grind the hazelnuts

Place the hazelnuts in the mixing bowl and grind for 8 sec/speed 8. Transfer and set aside.

Mix sugar and butter

20 sec/Speed 4

Add sugar and butter to the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec/speed 4.

Add eggs

10 sec/Speed 4

Add the eggs one at a time and mix for 10 sec/speed 4 each.

Add flour, baking powder and hazelnuts

Add flour, baking powder and ground hazelnuts to the mixing bowl and mix for 30 sec/speed 4.

Knead the dough with the Patix dough blade

2 min/Kneading speed

Replace the standard blade with the Patix dough blade. Knead the dough for 2 min/kneading level.

Place the dough in the pan

Pour the dough into a greased and floured springform pan (26 cm diameter) and smooth it out.

Prepare apples

Peel, core and slice the apples. Distribute on the dough.

Prepare crumble

For the crumble, add butter, sugar and flour to the mixing bowl and process into crumbles for 20 sec/speed 4.

Distribute the crumble

Spread the crumble over the apples.

Baking

Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C top/bottom heat for approx. 45 minutes.

Prepare pudding

Add sugar, pudding powder and some apple juice to the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec/speed 3.

Cook pudding

7 min/212°F/Speed 2 212°F

Add the remaining apple juice and cook for 7 min/100°C/speed 2, leaving the measuring cup in place.

Complete the cake

Spread the pudding on the cooled cake and sprinkle with powdered sugar as desired.
