Description

These Egyptian chicken patties are a real treat! I often make them for a quick lunch or a friendly dinner. Minced chicken, mixed with fragrant spices and a touch of white sauce, is simply irresistible. The crispy breading adds a pleasant texture. It's a perfect dish for the whole family, and it's even better served hot with a fresh salad. The preparation is quite simple and quick, making it an ideal dish for days when you're short on time. Feel free to adjust the spices to your preferences for a personalized taste!

  • 500 g Minced meat
  • 0.5 verre(s) White sauce
  • 1 piece Egg(s)
  • 0.5 piece Onion(s)
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • Spices
  • Parsley
  • 1 pincée(s) Nutmeg
  • 1 c. à soupe Butter
  • 1 pincée(s) Salt
  • 1 pincée(s) Pepper
  • 1 piece Egg(s)
  • Breadcrumbs

Preparation of onions and garlic

Put 0.5 onion in the bowl and finely chop for 3 Sek./Stufe 5. Add 1 clove of garlic and chop for 3 Sek./Stufe 7.

Cooking onions and garlic

3 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Add 1 tbsp of butter, spices, parsley and salt in the bowl. Sauté everything for 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Incorporating the white sauce

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

Add 0.5 glass of white sauce in the bowl and mix for 10 Sek./Stufe 3.

Adding meat and cooking

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 100 Reverse

Add 500 g of minced meat in the bowl and mix gently with the Spatel. Cook for 5 Min./100°C/Linkslauf Stufe 1.

Cooling and adding the egg

Remove the mixture from the bowl and let cool slightly. Add 1 egg and mix well by hand.

Preparation of the breading

In two separate plates, prepare 1 beaten egg and breadcrumbs.

Breading the patties

Form fairly thin patties with the dough. Dip them in the beaten egg and then in the breadcrumbs. Salt and pepper.

Cooking the patties in the pan

Butter a pan very generously and cook the patties on both sides until they are golden brown.
