Description

This yogurt bread is a simple and delicious recipe for homemade bread. It is made with spelt flour, natural yogurt, and yeast, making it a good alternative to traditional types of bread. Preparation takes about 20 minutes, and the total preparation time is approximately 2 hours. The bread is ideal for breakfast or as a side dish to various meals.

  • 100 g Whole Spelt Flour
  • 120 g Natural Yogurt
  • 450 g Spelt Flour
  • 250 ml lukewarm water
  • 0.5 Würfel Yeast
  • 1 EL Honey
  • 1 EL Coconut Oil
  • 1 TL Salt

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare Yeast-Honey Mixture

Add 250 ml lukewarm water, 1/2 cube of yeast, and 1 tbsp honey to the mixing bowl and mix for 40 sec./37°C/level 2.

Prepare the Dough

Thermomix® Setting

Add 100 g whole spelt flour, 120 g natural yogurt, 450 g spelt flour, 1-2 tbsp coconut oil, and 1 tsp salt. Insert the Patix dough knife and knead into a dough for 2 min./knead level.

Let the Dough Rise

Place the dough in a bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

Shape Dough and Let Rise Again

Shape the dough into a round loaf or a loaf pan and place on a baking sheet. Let rise again for 15 minutes.

Bake the Bread

Bake the yogurt bread for 25 minutes at 210°C. Then reduce the heat to 210°C and bake for another 10 minutes.

Let the Bread Cool

Let it cool slightly before slicing.
