Description

Nut sticks are a Christmas cookie recipe for the Thermomix® with almonds, hazelnuts, and fine spices. The preparation takes a total of 112 minutes, of which 50 minutes are active working time. The recipe yields about 70 pieces and is ideal as finger food or dessert for festive occasions. Perfect for baking during the Christmas season.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 125 g ground almonds
  • 125 g hazelnuts
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 Päckchen vanilla sugar
  • 1 Prise ground cloves
  • 1.5 Stück eggs
  • 1 Stück egg white
  • 125 g powdered sugar
  • sugar for rolling out
  • fat or baking paper for the baking sheet

Preparation (9 steps)

Mix nuts and sugar

Place almonds, hazelnuts, and sugar in the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec/speed 5.

Add spices and eggs

Add vanilla sugar, cloves, and eggs and stir for 20 sec/speed 4.

Knead the dough

Insert Patix dough knife. Knead the dough for 2 min/kneading stage.

Let the dough rest

Cover the dough with foil and let it rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Prepare the baking sheet with baking paper.

Roll out dough and shape sticks

Roll out the dough 5-6 mm thick on the sugared work surface and cut into sticks of about 4 x 2 cm. Place the sticks on the baking sheet.

Beat egg whites until stiff

Place egg white in the mixing bowl and insert butterfly whisk. Beat until stiff for 3 min/speed 3.5.

Stir in powdered sugar

Gradually sift in the powdered sugar, stirring for 1 min/speed 3.

Brush sticks and bake

Brush the sticks with the glaze. Place in the oven (center) and bake for about 12 minutes.
