Description

This hearty kale casserole is a savory main course, ideal for the winter season. With kale, minced meat and potatoes it is filling and warming. The preparation takes about 75 minutes and is enough for several servings. Perfect for a festive Christmas dinner.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 2 Stück Onions
  • 1 Paket Frozen kale
  • 400 g Minced meat
  • 400 g Cooked potatoes
  • 2 EL Tomato paste
  • 2 EL Creme Fraiche
  • Thin slices of streaky bacon
  • 1 Tasse Meat broth
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation (9 steps)

Chop onions

Peel one onion, halve and place in the mixing bowl. Chop 3 sec./speed 5. Scrape down with the spatula.

Sauté onions

Add some fat to the mixing bowl and sauté the chopped onion for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Thaw and cook kale

Add 1 packet of frozen kale to the mixing bowl and let it thaw slowly. Cook with the addition of some liquid. Season generously with salt and pepper. Drain the liquid.

Fry minced meat

Heat some fat in a pan and fry 400 g of minced meat with the second diced onion until crumbly. Season with salt and pepper.

Refine minced meat

Add 2 tbsp tomato paste and 2 tbsp creme fraiche to the minced meat in the pan and stir.

Prepare potatoes

Peel 400 g cooked potatoes and slice with the Wundermix WunderSlicer V2 and the appropriate slice. Place the WunderSlicer V2 on the mixing bowl lid and slice the potatoes directly into a bowl.

Mix potatoes and kale

Add the potato slices to the kale in the mixing bowl and mix carefully.

Layer casserole

Grease a baking dish. Fill in half of the kale with the potatoes, spread the minced meat over it and then add the remaining kale.

Finish and bake casserole

Fill the whole thing with 1 cup of meat broth. Cover with thin slices of streaky bacon and bake in a preheated oven at 220 degrees for approx. 30 minutes. Cover with aluminum foil if necessary.
