Description

This creamy pasta with chicken and mushrooms is a comforting and easy dish to prepare, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner. I love the smooth béchamel sauce that coats the pasta and the tender pieces of chicken. The mushrooms add an earthy flavor that pairs perfectly with the rest. This dish is ideal for evenings when you have little time but want a tasty and nourishing meal. Feel free to add other vegetables such as spinach or peas for an even more complete version. Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 200 g Pasta
  • 2 piece Chicken breast(s)
  • 1 can Sliced mushroom(s)
  • 1 piece Onion(s)
  • 100 g Grated Gruyère
  • 80 g Flour
  • 1 l Milk
  • 80 g Butter
  • 1 pinch Nutmeg
  • to taste Chopped parsley
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Preparation (6 steps)

Preparation of ingredients

Cook the pasta in a saucepan of boiling salted water according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, peel and slice the onion. Cut the chicken breasts into pieces.

Cooking the onion and chicken

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Put the sliced onion in the Thermomix bowl and chop 3 Sek./Stufe 5. Add a knob of butter and cook 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Adding chicken and mushrooms

Add the chicken pieces to a pan and cook for 5 minutes until golden brown. Add the drained mushrooms and cook until the water from the mushrooms has evaporated. Add the chopped parsley, salt and pepper then mix. Remove from heat.

Preparation of the béchamel

Put the butter in the Thermomix bowl and melt 2 Min./50°C/Stufe 2. Add the flour and mix 20 Sek./Stufe 3. Add the milk little by little and cook 8 Min./90°C/Stufe 4.

Incorporating the ingredients

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 3

Add the nutmeg, the onion-chicken-mushroom mixture and the grated Gruyère to the Thermomix bowl. Mix 30 Sek./Stufe 3. Adjust seasoning if needed.

Assembly and service

Drain the pasta at the end of cooking and pour it into a dish. Add the chicken and mushroom béchamel sauce and stir well. Serve immediately.
