Description
Homemade liquid seasoning with lovage, parsley and celery.
Ingredients (5 ingredients)

200 g fresh lovage
-
100 g Parsley (smooth Parsley)
-
50 g Celery
-
100 g Salt
-
100 g brown Sugar
Preparation (8 steps)
Prepare Herbs
Wash the lovage, parsley and celery and roughly chop them into pieces together with the stalks.
Simmer Herbs
Put the chopped herbs in the mixing bowl. Add 1000 ml water and 100 g salt.
Simmer Herbs
Simmer for 20 minutes.
Strain Liquid
Pour the liquid through a straining cloth and squeeze the liquid out well.
Caramelize Sugar
Caramelize sugar in a pan or pot over medium heat. Be careful not to let it get too dark, otherwise everything will taste bitter.
Dissolve Caramel
Add the squeezed Maggi liquid to the light brown caramel and continue stirring until the caramelized sugar has dissolved again.
Fill and Cool
Pour hot into 4 small 250 ml bottles, close with screw caps and let cool standing at room temperature.
Preserving (optional)
For a longer shelf life, the liquid can also be preserved. Preserve for 30 minutes.
