Description

Italian meatballs with mozzarella, prepared in the Thermomix®, are a protein-rich main course with minced meat, dried tomatoes and oregano. Preparation takes about 45 minutes and yields 4 servings. The recipe is ideal for a hearty, Italian-inspired family meal or a festive meal. The simple preparation in the Thermomix® guarantees that the dish will succeed.

Ingredients (14 ingredients)

  • 5 Stiel Oregano
  • 1 Stück Onion, halved
  • 1 Stück Garlic clove
  • 30 g dried Tomatoes
  • 400 g mixed Ground meat
  • 1 Stück Egg
  • 30 g Breadcrumbs
  • 1 TL Mustard
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 TL sweet Paprika powder
  • 125 g Mozzarella
  • 6 EL Olive oil
  • 125 g Arugula

Preparation (5 steps)

Chop oregano, onion, garlic and tomatoes

Put leaves from 5 sprigs of oregano, 1 half onion, 1 clove of garlic and 30 g of dried tomatoes into the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./speed 7. Use the spatula to push down.

Prepare ground meat

Add 400 g mixed ground meat, 1 egg, 30 g breadcrumbs, 1 tsp mustard, 1 tsp salt and 3 pinches of sweet paprika powder to the mixing bowl and mix for 1 min./speed 4.

Prepare mozzarella and form meatballs

Cut 125 g mozzarella into 8 equal cubes. Form the ground meat mixture into 8 meatballs and fill each with 1 cube of mozzarella.

Fry meatballs

Heat 4 tbsp olive oil in a pan and fry the meatballs, turning, for about 10 minutes over medium heat until golden brown.

Prepare arugula and serve

Mix 125 g of arugula with the remaining olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Arrange the meatballs with arugula on plates and serve.
