Description

This Churros recipe is a sweet delicacy that is easy to prepare with the Thermomix®. The fried dough sticks are rolled in sugar and cinnamon and are a perfect snack or dessert. Ideal for sweet tooths and lovers of Spanish specialties. Preparation takes about 30 minutes.

  • 250 ml Water
  • 150 g Flour
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 piece Egg
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • Oil Frying
  • Sugar & Cinnamon Rolling

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/212°F/Speed 1 212°F

Add 250 ml water, 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons butter to the mixing bowl and heat for 5 min./100°C/speed 1.

Add flour

20 sec/Speed 4

Add 150 g flour to the mixing bowl all at once and mix for 20 sec./speed 4.

Add egg (optional)

Thermomix® Setting
15 sec/Speed 4

Add 1 egg (optional) to the mixing bowl and mix for 15 sec./speed 4.

Let dough cool down

Fill the dough into a piping bag with a star nozzle and let it cool down a little.

Shape and fry churros

Heat oil for frying in a pot. Inject churros into the hot oil in the desired length and fry until golden brown. Then drain on kitchen paper.

Mix sugar and cinnamon

Mix sugar and cinnamon for rolling in a bowl.

Roll churros

Roll the fried churros in the sugar-cinnamon mixture and serve.
