Description

These meatballs in pepper sauce are a comforting and flavorful dish, perfect for a family meal. The combination of mixed meat, sweet peppers and a touch of fried tomato creates a delicious sauce that perfectly complements the meatballs. The recipe is simple to prepare, although it requires a little time to form the meatballs and sauté the vegetables. But the end result is worth it! Serve these meatballs with white rice or mashed potatoes for a complete and satisfying meal. Ideal for the cooler days of the year.

Ingredients (16 ingredients)

  • 600 g mixed minced meat (pork and beef)
  • 100 g breadcrumbs
  • 100 ml milk
  • 2 piece L eggs
  • 2 clove garlics
  • 1 ramita parsley
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste ground pepper
  • 50 g wheat flour
  • Olive oil
  • 1 piece red pepper
  • 1 piece green pepper
  • 1 piece yellow pepper
  • 1 piece onion
  • 500 ml chicken broth
  • 3 tbsp fried tomato

Preparation (7 steps)

Preparation of the meatball mixture

In a large bowl, mix 600 g of mixed minced meat (pork and beef) with 2 L eggs, 100 ml of milk, 2 finely chopped garlic cloves, 100 g of breadcrumbs, a sprig of chopped parsley, salt and ground pepper to taste. Mix all the ingredients well until you get a homogeneous dough.

Form and bread the meatballs

With your hands, form small meatballs of the desired size. Pass each meatball through 50 g of wheat flour, making sure they are well covered. Reserve the breaded meatballs.

Preparation of the vegetables for the sauce

Wash and cut 1 red pepper, 1 green pepper, 1 yellow pepper and 1 onion into small pieces. Reserve.

Sauté the meatballs

In a large frying pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Fry the breaded meatballs until golden brown on all sides. Remove the meatballs from the pan and reserve.

Sauté the vegetables in the Thermomix

Put the chopped onion in the Thermomix bowl and program 3 seconds/speed 5. Add the chopped peppers and 50 ml of olive oil. Program 8 minutes/120°C/speed 1.

Add tomato and broth

Add 3 tablespoons of fried tomato and 500 ml of chicken broth to the Thermomix bowl. Program 5 minutes/100°C/speed 1.

Incorporate the meatballs and cook

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/212°F/Speed 1/Linkslauf 100 Reverse

Add the reserved meatballs to the Thermomix bowl. Program 5 minutes/100°C/speed 1/Reverse rotation.
