Description

Valdostana style scaloppine, a classic of Italian cuisine, revisited with the help of our trusted Thermomix®! This dish, originally from the Aosta Valley, is a true comfort food, perfect for a family dinner or with friends. The slices of chicken breast, wrapped in cooked ham and melted cheese, create an irresistible combination of flavors. Fresh sage adds an aromatic touch that enhances the overall taste. The preparation is simple and quick, ideal for those who have little time but do not want to give up taste. Serve the scaloppine hot, accompanied by a side of fresh vegetables or baked potatoes. A dish that will conquer everyone!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • Sliced chicken breast
  • Cooked ham
  • Fontal cheese
  • Sage
  • Flour
  • to taste Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Preparation (6 steps)

Flour the chicken breast

Flour the slices of chicken breast on both sides. Make sure they are well covered with flour.

Brown the chicken

Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Place the floured slices of chicken breast in the pan and brown for about 3 minutes per side, until golden brown. Do not use the Thermomix for this step.

Salt and pepper

Salt and pepper the browned chicken slices in the pan.

Add ham, cheese and sage

Place a slice of cooked ham, a slice of cheese and a sage leaf on each slice of chicken.

Complete cooking

Cover the pan with a lid and continue cooking over low heat for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted completely.

Serve

Complete with a grind of fresh black pepper and serve the Valdostana style scaloppine hot.
