Description

Gratinated pasta with tomatoes and mozzarella is a simple, vegetarian main course from the Thermomix®. Red onions, garlic, cherry tomatoes and basil form the basis for this Mediterranean casserole. The preparation takes a total of 55 minutes, the active working time is about 25 minutes. The recipe is designed for 4 servings and is ideal for light summer cuisine or a quick family meal.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 1 Stück red onion
  • 1 Zehe Garlic
  • 150 g Cherry tomatoes
  • 1 Handvoll Basil
  • 400 g chopped Tomatoes
  • 3 EL Olive oil
  • 2 TL Oregano
  • 1 TL Sweet paprika powder
  • 125 g Mozzarella
  • nach Geschmack Salt
  • nach Geschmack Pepper
  • 300 g Pasta

Chop onion and garlic

Peel a red onion and put a clove of garlic in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. If necessary, scrape down from the edge with the spatula.

Sauté onion and garlic

Add 3 tbsp olive oil to the onions and garlic in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Prepare tomato sauce

Add 150 g halved cherry tomatoes, 400 g chopped tomatoes (from the can), 2 tsp oregano, 1 tsp sweet paprika powder, salt and pepper to the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec./speed 4.

Simmer tomato sauce

Simmer the tomato sauce for 10 min./100°C/speed 1.

Add basil

Add a handful of coarsely chopped basil leaves to the mixing bowl and stir in for 5 sec./reverse/speed 2.

Preheat oven and prepare sauce

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees circulating air. Pour the tomato-basil sauce from the mixing bowl into a casserole dish.

Add mozzarella and bake

Tear 125 g mozzarella into small pieces and spread over the sauce in the casserole dish. Place the casserole dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.

Cook pasta

While the sauce is baking in the oven, cook 300 g pasta according to the package instructions in a separate pot. After cooking, drain the pasta, collecting 50 ml of the cooking water.

Mix pasta and cooking water

Stir the cooked pasta and 50 ml pasta cooking water into the tomato-mozzarella sauce in the casserole dish and serve.
