Description

These chicken rolls with cheese and bacon are a tasty and easy to prepare main course, perfect for a family dinner or with friends. The combination of tender chicken, stringy cheese and crispy bacon is simply irresistible. I often prepare them when I have little time but still want to bring something delicious to the table. They can be accompanied by a side dish of fresh vegetables or baked potatoes. A tip: for a more intense flavor, try using aged cheese. The preparation is really simple and quick, also ideal for those who do not have much experience in the kitchen.

Ingredients (4 ingredients)

  • 4 piece Chicken thighs
  • 150 g Cheese
  • 150 g Sliced bacon
  • 1 pinch Black pepper

Preparation (5 steps)

Chicken preparation

Debone the chicken thighs and beat them lightly to flatten them. This step will make it easier to roll the rolls.

Flavoring and filling

Season the inside of the thighs with freshly ground black pepper. Cut the cheese into strips and place one on each thigh, almost as if to replace the bone. Roll the thighs on themselves, forming well-compact rolls.

Wrapping in bacon

Wrap each roll in one or two slices of bacon, making sure they are well sealed. This step will give flavor and crispness to the rolls.

Baking in the oven

Transfer the rolls to a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated static oven at 180°C for 35 minutes, or in a fan oven at 170°C for the same time. Cook until the bacon is golden brown.

Serving

Remove the rolls from the oven and serve hot. Accompany with a side dish of your choice.
