Description

These crispy chicken bites are perfect for a tasty appetizer or as a quick and delicious second course. The double breading makes them irresistible, and the preparation is really simple with the help of the Thermomix®. I love them because they are ready in a flash and everyone always likes them, young and old! You can customize the spices to your liking, adding a pinch of smoked paprika or a mix of aromatic herbs. Serve them hot with your favorite sauce for an even more delicious experience. Ideal for an informal dinner with friends or a festive buffet.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • Chicken breast
  • 100 g Flour
  • 1 tsp Mixed spices
  • 1 tsp Icing sugar
  • to taste Mixed pepper
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 pezzi Egg white
  • 50 ml Whole milk
  • 150 g Breadcrumbs
  • Peanut oil

Preparation (7 steps)

Chicken in cubes

Cut the chicken breast into strips and then into cubes of about 1 cm per side. Set aside.

Preparation of the spiced breading

Thermomix® Setting
10 Sec./Speed 4

In the Thermomix bowl, insert 100g flour, 1 teaspoon of mixed spices, 1 teaspoon of icing sugar, a pinch of mixed pepper and a pinch of salt. Mix for 10 Sec./Speed 4.

Flour the chicken

Pour the mixture of flour and spices into a baking dish. Flour the pieces of chicken well, then, using a sieve, remove the excess flour.

Preparation of the batter

In a bowl, lightly beat 2 egg whites with 50ml of whole milk without whipping them.

Double breading

Take a baking dish with 150g of breadcrumbs and start breading the chicken bites, passing them first in the egg white and then in the breadcrumbs. Repeat the operation to create a double breading to make the popcorn even crispier.

Frying

Heat plenty of peanut oil in a pan. When the oil has reached temperature, start frying the bites; the popcorn will be cooked when it has taken on a browned color.

Drying and serving

Dry the chicken bites on absorbent paper, salt lightly and serve the chicken bites very hot.
