Description

This lemon and rosemary roasted chicken is a timeless classic, perfect for a Sunday family lunch. The meat remains tender and juicy, while the skin becomes crispy and golden. The scent of lemon and rosemary inebriates the kitchen, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. Preparing it is very simple, and with the help of our faithful Thermomix®, the result is guaranteed! Ideal to accompany with baked potatoes or a fresh salad. A dish that everyone agrees on!

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 1 piece Whole chicken
  • 1 piece Lemon
  • 2 rametto Rosemary
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Preparation (4 steps)

Preparation of the chicken

Take a whole chicken and, if necessary, remove any residual feathers. Cut two slices of lemon and season with salt and black pepper. Insert the lemon slices into the chicken's belly. Crush 2 cloves of garlic with the blade of a knife and put them in the chicken as well. Add two sprigs of rosemary as well.

Salting the chicken

Spread the salt well both above and below the chicken, making sure to cover the entire surface.

Baking in the oven

Place the chicken on a baking sheet with a grid (if available) to promote air circulation. Alternatively, use a classic baking tray. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 60 minutes.

Control and final cooking

After 60 minutes, check the cooking of the chicken. If necessary, extend the cooking for another 15 minutes, until the meat is well cooked and the skin is golden. Serve the hot roasted chicken in its baking tray.
