Description

Discover the secret to cooking perfect al dente pasta with this simple trick. With just a few basic ingredients and a few minutes in the Thermomix®, you can enjoy a delicious plate of pasta that is just right. This recipe is ideal for a quick weekday meal or as a base for your favorite sauces. I always add a little extra virgin olive oil to the cooking water, it gives it a special touch! Try it and you will see the difference. In addition, it is a very economical and easy recipe to adapt to your tastes. Do you dare to try it?

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 7 minutos Cooking time
  • 1 ración Portion
  • 100 gr pasta per person (dry)
  • 1 litro water for every 100gr of pasta
  • 1 cucharada extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
  • 1 cucharadita coarse salt for each liter of water
  • 1 hoja bay leaf every 2 people

Heat the water

Thermomix® Setting
7 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Pour 2 liters of water into the Thermomix® bowl. Add 2 teaspoons of coarse salt and 1 bay leaf. Program 7 Min./100°C/Stufe 1 to heat the water until it boils.

Cook the pasta

Thermomix® Setting
5-7 min/212°F/Speed 1/Linkslauf 100 Reverse

Once the water is boiling, add 200 g of pasta to the bowl. Program the cooking time indicated on the pasta package (usually between 5 and 7 minutes for al dente pasta) /100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf. If desired, add 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil.

Drain the pasta

Once the cooking time is finished, drain the pasta in a colander. Remove the bay leaf. Do not cool the pasta with water if it is going to be mixed with hot sauce. If it is going to be used for salad, cool with cold water and drain well.
