Description

This pasta casserole with salami and tomatoes is a quick and easy dish for the end of the day. I often make it when things need to be quick and everyone needs to be full. The combination of savory salami, fruity tomato sauce and melted cheese is simply irresistible. It tastes especially good when you sprinkle fresh herbs such as basil or oregano over it. Ideal for students or families who have little time to cook. And the best thing: it is super variable - just use the vegetables that are there!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 300 g Pasta e.g. Rigatoni
  • 1 piece large Onion(s)
  • 2 Zehe(n) Garlic clove(s)
  • 0.5 piece small Salami
  • 500 ml Tomato(es) chopped
  • Cheese for gratinating
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oregano

Preparation (6 steps)

Cook pasta

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in a separate pot. Meanwhile, start preparing the sauce in the Thermomix.

Chop onion and garlic

Put the onion in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Add garlic and chop for 3 sec./speed 7.

Sauté onion and salami

Thermomix® Setting

Add olive oil to the mixing bowl, add the chopped onion and the diced salami and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Prepare tomato sauce

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add the chopped tomatoes, salt, pepper and oregano to the mixing bowl and simmer for 10 min./100°C/speed 1.

Mix pasta and sauce

Put the cooked pasta in a casserole dish and mix with the tomato sauce from the mixing bowl.

Bake casserole

Sprinkle the casserole with grated cheese and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C top/bottom heat until the cheese is melted and golden brown (approx. 5-10 minutes).
