Description

This soy and honey glazed chicken is a simple and delicious recipe that I often prepare for a quick weekday meal. The combination of soy sauce and honey creates a sweet and sour glaze that enhances the flavor of the chicken. It is perfect to accompany with white rice or steamed vegetables. The original recipe is from Yáiza, and I have always loved its simplicity. It is prepared in less than 40 minutes and is ideal for one person. Go ahead and try it, you will love it! It is also an excellent option if you are looking for an economical and tasty recipe.

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 150 gr chicken breast or thigh
  • 60 gr onion
  • 10 gr honey
  • 5 gr soy sauce
  • Garlic powder
  • Olive oil

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare the chicken

Salt and pepper the chicken breast or thigh (150g) and spread with garlic powder to taste. To reserve.

Chop the onion

Put 60g of onion in the Thermomix glass and chop for 3 seconds at speed 5.

Sauté the onion

Add a little olive oil to the glass and sauté the onion for 3 minutes at 120°C at speed 1.

Add the chicken

Add the salted and peppered chicken with garlic powder to the Thermomix glass. Cook for 5 minutes at 120°C at speed 1. Do not use the reverse rotation.

Add the soy and honey

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add 5g of soy sauce and 10g of honey to the glass. Cook for 2 minutes at 100°C at speed 1.

Add water and cook

Thermomix® Setting
25 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add a little water (approximately 50 ml) to the glass and cook for 25 minutes at 100°C at speed 1 or until the meat is tender.
