Description

This stuffed chicken is a real eye-catcher and tastes good both hot and cold! I like to make it for special occasions or when guests come. Deboning the chicken is a bit more complex, but it's worth it! The filling of chicken meat, herbs and eggs makes it particularly juicy and aromatic. The herb broth gives the dish a fine note. It is ideal for a buffet or as a main course with a light side dish. It can be prepared well and stored in the refrigerator. An absolute favorite recipe that is always well received!

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 1 piece Farm chicken
  • 1 bunch Chives
  • 3 piece Hard-boiled egg(s)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 3 piece Carrot(s)
  • 2 piece Onion(s)
  • 1 piece Leek(s)
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 cube Bouillon cube(s)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare chicken

Carefully debone the chicken, being careful not to damage the skin as little as possible. This is best done by running your hand between the meat and the skin and gently loosening the bones. The deboned bones will later be used for the broth.

Chop chicken meat

Place the chicken meat removed from the bone in the mixing bowl and chop for 10 sec./speed 5. Push down with the spatula and repeat if necessary.

Prepare filling

Put the chopped chicken meat with salt, pepper and finely chopped chives in a bowl and mix well.

Fill chicken skin

Shape the chicken skin into a bag and sew it up with needle and thread. Fill the chicken meat mixture into the bag and place the three hard-boiled eggs in the middle. Carefully close the bag.

Prepare vegetables

Clean 3 carrots, 2 onions and 1 leek and roughly chop. Peel the garlic clove.

Prepare broth

30 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Place the chopped carrots, onions, leek and garlic clove together with a bouillon cube, salt and pepper in the mixing bowl. Add 1 liter of water and simmer for 30 min./100°C/speed 1.

Cook chicken

Thermomix® Setting
60 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Place the stuffed chicken bag in the mixing bowl and cook for another 60 min./100°C/speed 1. Make sure that the chicken is completely covered with broth. Add more water if necessary.

Cool and serve

Remove the cooked chicken from the mixing bowl and let it cool completely. Then cut into slices and serve.
