Description

This garlic scented roast chicken is a classic of Italian cuisine, revisited to be prepared with the Thermomix®. The meat is tender and juicy, while the garlic and bread create a flavorful and aromatic filling. Perfect for a Sunday lunch with family or a dinner with friends. Preparation is simple and quick, also ideal for those who do not have much experience in the kitchen. A dish that will conquer everyone with its inviting aroma and its rich and satisfying taste. Serve with roast potatoes or a fresh salad for a complete and balanced meal.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 1 piece Chicken
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 50 g Bread
  • 30 g Butter
  • 15 g Salt
  • 2 g Black pepper
  • Sage

Preparation (7 steps)

Cleaning and preparing the chicken

Thoroughly clean the chicken, removing any residual feathers. Flame the chicken to remove the hairs. This step is important to ensure an optimal result.

Preparing the filling

Divide 2 cloves of garlic and cut 50g of bread into small cubes. Insert the garlic and bread into the cavity of the chicken, alternating them to distribute the flavor evenly.

Salting and closing

Salt the inside of the chicken with 5g of salt and close the cavity with sage leaves to seal in the flavors.

Massage with butter

Massage the chicken with 30g of melted butter. Insert small flakes of butter between the skin and the pulp of the chicken, repeating the operation on both sides to ensure even browning.

External salting and peppering

Salt the chicken generously with 10g of salt, massaging it to make the salt adhere to the skin. Then, pepper with 2g of ground black pepper.

Baking in the oven

Place the chicken in a baking pan and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 5 minutes, then lower the temperature to 180°C and cook for another 55 minutes.

Finishing and serving

Baste the chicken with the cooking juices that will have formed in the pan. Cut the chicken into pieces and serve with roast potatoes or a fresh salad.
