Description

This Gambas Pil Pil recipe is a real hit for anyone who likes it hot! The prawns are prepared in an aromatic garlic-chili-oil and served with fresh parsley and lemon. I love making it as a starter or as a small snack in between meals. The preparation is very simple and quick - perfect if you don't have much time. The prawns taste best with fresh baguette to soak up the delicious oil. An absolute must for every lover of Mediterranean cuisine!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 400 g Prawns, ready to cook
  • 1 piece Shallot
  • 4 clove Garlic
  • 1 piece Chili
  • 1 Stange Parsley
  • 1 piece Lemon
  • 25 ml Olive oil
  • to taste Sea salt
  • Baguette

Preparation (5 steps)

Chop shallot

Peel and quarter the shallot and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec./speed 5.

Chop garlic

Peel the garlic cloves and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec./speed 7.

Sauté shallots and garlic

Thermomix® Setting

Add 25 ml olive oil to the shallots and garlic in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Add chili

Thermomix® Setting
4 min/Varoma/Speed 1/Linkslauf Varoma Reverse

Wash the chili, cut into rings and add to the mixing bowl together with the prawns. Cook for 4 min./Varoma/speed 1/reverse.

Season and Serve

Season the prawns with sea salt. Distribute the prawns with oil on two clay dishes and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve with lemon wedges and baguette.
