Description

These toast rolls are a real eye-catcher at any buffet! I love making them because they are so quick and easy to prepare. The cream cheese is refined with fresh herbs and spread on toast bread together with cucumber, sprouts and delicious spreads. The whole thing is then rolled up and cut into bite-sized pieces. Perfect for a brunch, a party or simply as a small snack in between. The rolls are vegetarian and can be prepared very well in advance. They taste particularly good in summer when prepared with seasonal herbs. An absolute favorite recipe!

Ingredients (15 ingredients)

  • 16 Scheiben Toast bread
  • 200 g Double cream cheese
  • 2 EL Milk
  • nach Geschmack Salt
  • nach Geschmack Pepper
  • 150 g Cucumber
  • 1 Bund Parsley
  • 1 Bund Dill
  • 1 Bund Chives
  • 40 g Alfalfa sprouts
  • 4 EL Truffle liverwurst
  • 50 g Duck breast
  • 4 TL Wild cranberries
  • 1 EL Sesame
  • 1 EL Sesame

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare cream cheese

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Put 200 g of double cream cheese, 2-3 tbsp of milk, salt and pepper into the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec/speed 3. If necessary, scrape down the sides with the spatula and mix again for 10 sec/speed 3.

Prepare herbs

Wash, shake dry and roughly chop 1 bunch of parsley, 1 bunch of dill and 1 bunch of chives.

Chop herbs

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 5

Put the chopped herbs into the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec/speed 5. Then add to the cream cheese and mix in with the spatula.

Prepare cucumber

Peel 150 g cucumber and cut into thin slices.

Fry duck breast

Fry 50 g of duck breast in a pan without fat until crispy and then cut into thin slices. Do NOT perform this step in the Thermomix®!

Top toast

Spread the herb cream cheese on 16 slices of toast bread. Then top with cucumber slices, alfalfa sprouts, truffle liverwurst, duck breast and wild cranberries.

Roll up toast

Roll up the topped toast slices tightly and wrap in cling film. Place in the refrigerator for approx. 15 minutes.

Cut and serve toast rolls

Take the toast rolls out of the refrigerator, unwrap them from the film and cut them into slices approx. 2 cm thick. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.
