Description

This dish of chicken thighs with potatoes is a classic of Italian home cooking, perfect for a Sunday family lunch. The chicken thighs, browned and then slow-cooked with potatoes, onions, white wine and aromatic herbs, become very tender and flavorful. The aroma of oregano and rosemary while cooking is simply irresistible! The preparation is quick and easy, also ideal for those who have little time but do not want to give up a tasty and genuine dish. A true comfort food that warms the heart and delights the palate.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 600 g chicken thighs and drumsticks
  • 600 g potatoes
  • 1 piece medium onions
  • 200 ml white wine
  • 200 ml water
  • oregano
  • rosemary
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • fine salt

Preparation of the onions

A medium onion cut into thin slices is placed in the bowl. Add extra virgin olive oil and fine salt. Cook for 5 minutes at 120°C in Speed 1, together with the rosemary.

Browning the chicken

10 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Add 600 g of chicken thighs and drumsticks to the bowl, making sure the pieces do not overlap. Cook for 10 minutes at 120°C in Speed 1. Halfway through cooking, turn the chicken pieces with a spatula.

Deglazing with white wine

10 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Pour 200 ml of white wine into the bowl and cook for another 10 minutes at 100°C in Speed 1, without the lid, to evaporate the alcohol.

Adding the potatoes

5 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add 600 g of potatoes cut into pieces to the bowl. Cook for 5 minutes at 100°C in Speed 1 with the lid on, to flavor the potatoes.

Final cooking

30 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add oregano to taste and 200 ml of water to the bowl. Cook for 30 minutes at 100°C in Speed 1 with the lid on, making sure the meat cooks completely. Check from time to time and make sure there is a little cooking liquid.
