Description

This rustic whole wheat bread is an absolute delight and super easy to prepare with the Thermomix®! I love how quickly it goes and how wonderfully it smells when it comes out of the oven. The bread is perfect for a hearty breakfast, for grilling, or simply as a side dish to a delicious soup. The grains give the bread a great texture and a nutty flavor. Of course, you can also use other nuts or seeds, according to your taste. A splash of vinegar ensures a loose crumb. Try it out, you will be thrilled!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 500 g Whole wheat flour
  • 25 g Yeast, fresh
  • 500 ml Water, warm
  • 0.5 cup Grains or nuts, to taste
  • 1 tsp Bread spice mix
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar

Prepare yeast

Add 25 g fresh yeast to the mixing bowl and add 500 ml warm water. Stir for 2 min./37°C/speed 2 to dissolve the yeast.

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/Kneading speed

Add 500 g whole wheat flour, 0.5 cup grains, 1 tsp bread spice mix, 2 tsp salt and 2 tbsp vinegar to the mixing bowl. Knead for 3 min./knead setting to form a dough.

Bake bread

Place the dough in a greased or baking paper lined mold. Preheat the oven to 200°C, placing a heat-resistant bowl of water inside. Bake the bread for 1 hour.
